You have a restful night and spend a relaxing Sunday exploring the area around your apartment and school.

At 10:00 on Monday morning, you head downstairs to see if anyone is around the school. There is not, so you wander over to a restaurant you found, have some breakfast (gimbap and mandu, aka Korean sushi rolls and steamed dumplings), then go to the bank to open an account and cash your remaining travelers cheques.

Afterward, it's back to the school where you are told that you and the other teachers will be doing recruiting this week as your school isn't open yet and has no students. You are surprised, but can only agree to go along. You mention the broken washing machine and the director calls someone to repair it. She says it will be fixed by evening.

Recruiting consists of smiling, saying "hello" ad nauseum, and handing out rulers. The Koreans do more, but that's your task and you do it well.

The week passes quickly and even has a national holiday in the middle which you use for more exploring.

By the end of the week, you are feeling pretty good about things and ready to start teaching come Monday.
