You get downstairs and are immensely relieved that your Korean friends are there. You explain your situation and they are immediately sympathetic. Your director bundles you into her car and takes you to McDonald's. While it wouldn't have been your first choice, you eat hungrily and happily.

Afterward, you return to the school and a small loan of money is given to you so you can get some groceries. One of your fellow teachers volunteers to take you to the store and help you out.

You are grateful, but feel they have done enough for you already with the McMeal and the loan. You decline and say you'd like to try it on your own.

Grateful for the help, you accept and make your way to the store.
